AAU Boys Basketball Teams Tennessee

The Amateur Athletic Union is a volunteer sports organization in the United States that organizes athletic competitions for children under the age of 18. AAU boys basketball competitions are a primary means of developing young basketball players for competition at the NCAA and NBA levels. Alumni of AAU basketball teams who have later starred in the NBA include Anfernee Hardaway, Lorenzen Wright and Tony Delk. Tennessee AAU boy's basketball teams compete in the Southeastern Association of the AAU.

Memphis Select Boys
The Memphis Select Boys are based out of Memphis. Founded in 2006, the Memphis Select Boys are coached by William Rhodes. The Memphis Select Boys have competed in a number of prominent nationwide AAU tournaments, including Real Deal on the Rock and the City of Memphis Basketball Tournament. In 2010, the Memphis Select Boys under-17 and under-15 teams won the Showdown in the South tournament, defeating teams from North Carolina and Texas. Memphis Select Boys players who have gone on to play in the NBA include Thaddeus Young and Derek Byers.

Team Hustle
Team Hustle is based out of Knoxville. Founded in 2010, the Team Hustle boys teams are coached by Devin Driscoll and are sponsored by Adidas. The Team Hustle boys teams have competed at the Hoop It Up Classic and the Tennessee DII Boys Basketball tournament. Team Hustle also operates boys and girls basketball camps in the Knoxville area. Alumni of the Team Hustle boys teams have gone on to play college basketball at Tennessee Wesleyan College and Maryville University.

Team Nashville Basketball Club
The Team Nashville Basketball Club, based out of Nashville, was founded in 2004 by coach Carlton Battle. Sponsored by Adidas, the team operates Phenom basketball camps throughout the Nashville area. The team competes in AAU competitions throughout the Southeast. In 2010, the Team Nashville Basketball Club under-17 team was ranked as the 16th best under-17 team in the country.

Nashville Celtics
The Nashville Celtics, also based out of Nashville, were founded in 2001 by coach Jack Waddey. Also sponsored by Adidas, the Nashville Celtics compete in AAU tournaments in the Southeast and California. In 2010, the Nashville Celtics reached the semifinals of the Real Deal at the Rock AAU tournament. Alumni of the Nashville Celtics have gone on to play college basketball at Division I schools, including the University of Florida, University of Memphis and the University of Georgia.
