You can keep your Yahoo Mail inbox organized by deleting unwanted messages and, if you choose, emails that you have already replied to. Deleted messages will appear in your trash folder. Email messages are not automatically deleted from your inbox or any folders you may have created; messages must be manually deleted. Messages in the trash folder are automatically deleted every 30 days. You can also empty the trash folder manually at any time. Please note that once messages have been deleted from your trash folder, they are gone forever.
Log in to your Yahoo Mail account. To the left of each individual message in your inbox, there is a small box.
Checkmark each message you want to delete. Look toward the top of your inbox for the delete button. It is the left-most button. After you have checkmarked all the messages you want to delete, click the delete button once.
Make sure deleted messages appear in your trash folder. Yahoo Mail always tells you how many total messages you have in your Inbox at any given time.
