How to Tie Your Swimsuit String

When the sun comes out and it's time for summer vacation, many women get anxious about their swimsuits. String bikinis are an appealing option for many women because the suits are designed to make women feel sexy, have a playful attitude and offer some flexibility in size because of the adjustable string. Ensuring that the string on your string bikini is tightly secured can make the difference between an enjoyable day at the beach and an embarrassing moment you won't live down.

Ensure that the string on your bikini is durable and intact. If you're wearing the string bikini for the first time this year, make sure the string isn't frayed or worn. If it's a new swimsuit, check that it fits correctly and that the string is long enough that you can tie a knot.

Tie a knot in your swimsuit top securely and in a way that complements your body type. Tie the knot on the bathing suit top securely so it won't fall down, but not so tightly that the bathing suit will ride up. Let the strings fall down your back after you have fastened the knot.

Secure the string on the bottom of your bathing suit so that the string falls gracefully over your hipbones. Don't tie the knot too tightly, because this can cause redness and pain. However, tie it tightly enough that the string stays on your hips. After tying the knot, tie cute bows as you would with your running shoes.
