Instructions for 15' x 42" Intex Swimming Pool

A backyard swimming pool is the perfect place to spend a few hours relaxing on lazy summer days. Setting up an Intex 15-foot-by-42-inch swimming pool to take advantage of those summer rays takes little time and relatively little effort. The Intex Easy Set 15-by-42 pool comes with a ground cloth, ladder, filter pump, swimming pool cover and maintenance kit. The pool holds nearly 3,300 gallons of water.

Locate a suitable place for the pool that is on even, level ground. Clear it of any rocks, twigs or other debris. Don't set up on soft, loose or sandy soil.

Lay down the ground cloth. Smooth it out.

Place the pool on the ground cloth and spread it out smoothly. Be sure to point the drain plug where you want the water to drain. Always drain water away from the house.

Ensure that the top ring is fully up and outside the pool liner. Inflate the ring but don't over-inflate it. You can use a manual or electric pump for this, but avoid high-pressure pumps like air compressors so you don't risk bursting the ring.

Check that the drain plug inside the pool is closed. The outside drain cap should be screwed on tight, too.

Fill the pool with 1 inch of water. Confirm that the pool is level by observing the water in the bottom of the pool. If the water is not level, adjust the location of the pool.

Remove any wrinkles by either pulling the pool floor from the outside, or getting inside the pool and pushing out where the sides and bottom meet.

Fill the pool with water up to just below the "Fill" line on the inside of the inflated top ring using the garden hose. The sides of the pool will rise as you fill it.

Place the ladder in swimming pool.
