Free Insane Scavenger Hunt Ideas

Scavenger hunts are a great party icebreaker, company team building exercise or fun charity fund-raiser. Scavenger hunts can be done in a hotel or school, at a park or incorporate an entire city as its playing field. Many companies put on professional scavenger hunts, but with some imagination and planning you can plan your own scavenger hunt. Scavenger hunts that are wacky and crazy are especially fun for parties such as bachelorette parties and birthdays.

Secret Agent Scavenger Hunt
The head of an international crime ring has just escaped from prison. He has the plans to build a super bomb that would turn every man, woman and child into a squirrel. Each team is deputized into secret agents and given a clue to the first checkpoint (each team is given the checkpoints in a different order). At each checkpoint, they will encounter a different wacky spy or criminal that they have to convince to give up the location of the next checkpoint. The spies are played by actors that you have pre-placed. Some characters can be a beautiful woman spy, a James Bond-type, a gangster, a police officer, etc. The last character should be the international crime rind leader. The first team to find him wins.

Pub Hunt
Each team starts at a designated pub or bar and is given the first clue to the next pub or bar. At least one team member (or the entire team) must have a drink (and show proof via digital picture) at each bar or pub. You can also do this scavenger hunt with hot dogs, ice cream, chicken wings, etc., and have teams go from wing joint to wing joint or ice cream parlor to ice cream parlor.

Daring Hunt
Put together a list of "dares" for each team to do individually or as a team. Each team must have a digital camera. You can either have a time limit and the team who completes the most dares wins or have the dares on a points system (most difficult or embarrassing dares score more points), and the team with the most points wins. Choose dares appropriate for the players. (Teen scavenger hunts would be tamer than one for a bachelorette party.) Some examples of dares include so something nice for a stranger, serve burgers at a fast food restaurant, kiss a puppy, dance in the street, etc.

Photo Hunt
Each team receives a list of subjects to photograph and a digital camera. Within the allotted time period, each team much photograph the subject in an unusual or creative way. The team with the most unusual and creative pictures wins.
