Game Rules of Halex Dart Boards

The Halex dartboard takes the human element out of play when it comes to score tabulations. Featuring hundreds of dart tip-sized holes, the Halex board automatically keeps track of shot totals after each dart, allowing players to focus on the game rather than scrawling the score on a built-in chalkboard. The dartboard comes equipped with scoring for a number of different games, providing players with plenty of variety.

501
The standard 501 game is the one played in most bars and dart leagues. The Halex board begins by giving each player 501 points. After it is decided who will open the game, the first player throws three darts and his combined score is subtracted from 501 to give the new score. For those looking for the challenge of a regulation 501 game, the board can be adjusted so that players must hit a double scoring zone before they can begin accumulating points. The board also features a "double out" setting, in which players must finish the game on a double scoring zone. This is also a rule used in the majority of league and tournament 501 games. The first player to score exactly 501 points is the winner.

Steeplechase
The object of the steeplechase game is to be the first player to complete a circuit of the "track." Players must begin by hitting the 20 zone and continue in a clockwise direction until they reach the five zone, completing the game by hitting the bulls-eye. Players may only use the area of the zone between the outer bulls-eye and the triple zones, meaning anything on the other side of the triple zone is out of play. The steeplechase course features four different "fences" along the way (13, 17, 8, 5). For these numbers, players must hit the triple zone to continue playing.

Golf
The game of dart golf is played using only zones one through 18, with each "hole" carrying a par of three. The first player begins on the first hole, continuing until he has hit it three times (no matter how many throws it takes). If each dart lands in the single scoring area, the player scores a three. If his best shot ends up in the double zone, he records a birdie with a score of two. A shot that hits the triple zone earns the player an eagle and a score of one. The player with the lowest combined total at the end of 18 holes is the winner.
