In every round of the card game Tripoley, by Cadaco, you participate in three different phases. Each phase gives you the chance to win chips from the playing mat depending on the cards in your hand. During the game, you gain chips for the heart cards in your hand, the best poker hand you can create and discarding your cards based on their suits. Play Tripoley with between two and nine players and a standard deck of playing cards.
Sit around a table or flat playing surface. Divide the chips among all of the players. Have each player place a chip on each of the nine spaces on the "Tripoley" mat. Choose one player to act as the dealer.
Deal out the entire deck of 52 playing cards, one at a time, to the players around the table as well as one extra hand. For example, if there are five players, deal out six hands of cards. Remove the extra hand from the table.
Check the cards in your hand. For every card in the suit of hearts, take all of the chips from the corresponding space on the mat. For example, the jack of hearts takes the chips on the "Jack" space. Divide the chips on the "8-9-10" space among the players who have the corresponding cards.
Select five cards from your pile that make up the best poker hand. For example, you may want to keep a pair of two's and three kings for a full house.
Bet on the hand starting with the dealer and moving clockwise. Choose to call, raise or fold until all players have made a decision.
Reveal your hands. Take the chips from the "Pot" space of the mat if you have the best hand. Tied hands split the pot.
Search your cards for the next card to follow in the same suit. For example, if the dealer places the three of spades, the next card to be placed if the four of spades, then five of spades and so on.
Continue placing cards until no player has the next card in the suit. This can be caused by the extra hand that was dealt.
Return to the last player to place a card. He must place the lowest card in his hand of a new suit to start again. Continue placing until one player has discarded all of his cards. Award him the chips on the "Kitty" space as well as one chip from each player for every remaining card in their hand.
Gather all of the cards and pass them to the player to the left of the dealer. He becomes the new dealer. Place your chips on the mat and begin a new round.
