Follow When Installing Photovoltaic Solar Systems

Photovoltaic solar energy systems consist of three components: solar panels, batteries, and voltage controllers. The panels are usually installed on a slanted ground-level structure or on a south-facing, slanted roof. For ideal results, you should follow the following installation steps.

Erect the scaffold

The scaffold is erected in order to provide a great working platform for the roofers. To ensure safety, it's recommended that you erect a scaffold regardless of the height of your roof.

Fit the roof anchors

After erecting the scaffold you should now fit the roof anchors. Here you should check the location of the rafters in relation to the exiting roof tiles and then position the anchors on top of tiles. You should note that the anchors that you put on depend on the type of roof tiles that you have.

Attach the frame

Once the anchors are perfectly in place you should now attach the frame. Here you should lock the aluminum bars to the anchors and then screw them in place. To ensure that the panels look good, you should double check the bars and ensure that they are straight and parallel to each other.

Install the panels

With the bars in place, you should now clamp the panels to the frame. Depending on the method that is easier to you, you can fit the panels by row or by column. While it's rare for the panels to be perfectly straight, you should ensure that they run perfectly parallel to the edge that is nearest to them.

Wire the panels on the roof

When you ensure that the panels are parallel to the nearest edge, you should now wire them. You should wire them depending on the position of the panels, shading on the roof, and system's power, amperage, and voltage.
