Promoting, and Growing With Business Cards

Can an individual or business entity promote their products or help their company grow without creating and printing business cards? The answer, ladies and gentlemen, is no. First of all, to some extent, theses small printed promotional materials are a part of getting the person or company name out there. They clarify the product or service being offered. They also give a sense of the brand that the person or company represents with recognizable logos. Second, those little cards of paper are a significant part of networking. They help clients associate an image with a service or product. They are more likely to recall the name or logo when they have a copy on hand and come across a professional or personal need or see an opportunity to connect with or cross promote their business with another. Third, business cards are also used as a marketing tool they can have multiple designs to promote different aspects of the same business or use different employees names and titles to market a well-rounded company to potential clients.

There are many ways that business cards have and continue to introduce promote and grow many businesses from home offices to e commerce which still requires some face to face interactions, and even large corporations with hundreds of employees with services and clients under one company mission. Whether someone uses standard card stock, magnets, or other printing material as their business card, it is used in the same way to give business and general public clients an opportunity to learn and remember the name on the card, the website on the card and the branding tag line the next time they require that type of service.

As listed above, there are three great ways to use business cards. First, they are typically used to initiate a business connection or grab the interest of a new client. They last beyond the handshake and come with the necessary information to continue that new connection. Second, they are used to support the branding message, colors, logo imaging, services and products all on a small accessible promotional material. They are an extension of the website and the product of the company; they should resemble the website as they resemble the product as well. Third, they are used to expand a company's reach to the community they serve and every new potential connection that sees that contact information. For every 10, 20, or 30 cards given out there is an opportunity for 5, 10, or 15 new clients with established Internet and/or purchases.
