Management - Solve These 2 For Success

What to Do With Friends:

Typical Views

When you belong to a group, it may be tough confronting others in obtaining information. Each person has his own goal. Acquiring the needed help from other people should not constantly be just one-sided. While you want to aim for your end goal, with minimal expense to your personal time, it is preferable to look for a win / win position with associates when thinking about time and information discussions.

Your Attitude

A few time management problems can be removed by your attitude. Approaching others for information in a terse way, that is overly direct, may be detrimental. Occasionally, it may be better gradually bringing the discussion round to what concerns you. If you invite someone to do a task for you, it is commonly a good option to ask them to suggest input for the performance standard they might expect. Thus, the other individual can accept a degree of ownership of the task. For this reason, you ought to reach a standard of performance for the task that is mutually agreeable.

Again, you are looking for a win / win position. If you can't arrange for this to occur be prepared for a 'loss' by yourself, quickly with potential gains in the future. Remember, that everyone has a platform to arrive at individual goals, therefore, each person needs time to deal with their personal jobs.

Items to Avoid

You will generally come across others, in all areas of life, that pretend to be weak at something and desperately need your support. They will return, time and again, unless they are given coaching and the experience to carry out the task. Implement coaching and the assault on your time will reduce.

Most friends merely wish to gossip. Being a social person is nice at the correct time. The preferred thing to do here is curb these visits or learn how to minmise their time when you are working.

People can con you with kind words by consistently calling for your guidance, instead of any direct support. You develop into a draw for intruders. The solution is learning to say, 'No'.

Multiple Tasks:

The option of 'multi-tasking' is a common one, but, in truth it doesn't exist. Really, many tasks can be carried out in order, with a shared end time, progressing from task to task until they are all complete. Nonetheless, in time management terms I mean trying to perform more than one activity, causing a decrease of attention on one or more of them.
