While using Facebook, you may have seen what is known as a CAPTCHA; a prompt asking you to type the words in an image. CAPTCHAs are used to verify that you're a real human, and not a computer program trying to send spam to other Facebook users. To stop Facebook from forcing you to answer these CAPTCHAs, you can verify your account using a mobile phone.
Log in to Facebook and navigate to the phone confirmation page. You can also get to the page by clicking the "Verify Your Account" link on a CAPTCHA prompt.
Select your country code and type in your phone number, and then click the "Confirm" button. Facebook will then send a text message to your phone with a confirmation code.
Wait until the text message is received by your mobile phone. Once you receive the message, type the code given to you into the "Code" box on the confirmation page, and click the "Confirm" button.
