Delete Email Forward Address in Gmail

Gmail allows you to forward your email to another address. This is useful when you wish to store a copy on a secondary account, or wish to consolidate accounts. If forwarding is no longer required, you can simply disable the feature, so you do not have to re-verify the account later. However, if you know you will not need to forward email to that address again, you can simply remove it.

Log into your Gmail account.

Click the gear icon at the top right of the Gmail page, immediately following your email address.

Click "Mail settings" in the drop-down menu.

Click the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" link at the top of the "Settings" screen.

Click the drop-down menu after "Forward a copy of incoming mail to," and select "Remove [your email address]," which lists your actual email address. Alternatively, you can simply click "Disable forwarding" to keep the email address, but stop forwarding to it.

Click "OK" in the confirmation pop-up to remove the email address. If you chose to disable forwarding in the previous step, you also need to click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the screen. This is not required when simply removing the email address.
