Putting Ticker on Facebook

Facebook can help you keep in touch with friends and family. If you have an important event coming up, you may want to share that event with your Facebook friends. Adding a countdown ticker to your profile will keep everyone informed of that special date, whether it's a wedding, anniversary or birth of a child. The Ticker Factory Facebook app will allow you to select and customize a ticker of your choice to share on your Facebook profile.

Instructions
Step 1
Type "ticker factory" in the Search text box at the top of your Facebook page.

Step 2
Click the "Magnifying glass" icon to bring up a list of search results, and then click "Apps" in the left column.

Step 3
Click "View App" and then click "Go to App."

Step 4
Click "Allow" to allow the app to access your profile.

Step 5
Click "Add Ticker."

Step 6
Click a ticker type to start configuring your ticker for Facebook. For example, click "Birthday" to count down to an upcoming birthday.

Step 7
Customize your ticker. The options will differ according to which ticker type you selected, but in general, select a sticker for your ticker, enter today's date and then enter the date to which you are counting down. Click "Next" to progress through the selection screens.

Step 8
Click "Add to Facebook."
