Correctly Compliment a Girl

All humans love to receive compliments, but women can find it especially flattering when they receive an endearing compliment from a man that they are on a date with, are married to or are just meeting for the first time. Compliments can be direct, indirect, subtle or obvious. A compliment's worth is often measured by how thoughtful the girl found it to be. Compliments -- whether good or bad -- linger in a person's memory, so it is important to make a great impression with an effective one.

Point out something that will indirectly make the girl feel good. For example, if she is working on a project
you can comment on how nicely you think it is coming along. These subtle compliments prime the girl for more obvious flattery.

Pay the girl a more direct compliment that you think she may not get often. Avoid obvious or generic statements like, "Your hair looks great!" Instead, be specific and look for smaller details. For example, you could mention how much you liked that her new necklace matched her eyes.

Add a bit of romantic flare to your compliments when the two of you become comfortable with each other. You can do this for subtle and direct compliments. For example, you could note how much you enjoy the way a nighttime fire dances in the reflection of her beautiful eyes.
