David Moyes Fired Likely To Return To English Soccer

David Moyes won’t complete the rehabilitation of his reputation as a soccer manager in Spain. Real Sociedad fired Moyes on Monday amid an awful start to its 2015-16 La Liga (Spanish league) campaign. The Spanish club opted to change managers 364 days after hiring Moyes. “(We) have decided to terminate the contract of first team coach David Moyes, Real Sociedad said in a statement on its website, according to Sky Sports. “His assistant Billy McKinlay has also left the club. “(We) wish to thank both David and Billy for the…professionalism and dedication they have shown during the course of their duties with the first team. We wish them both the best for their professional and personal future.” Eusebio Sacristan is the leading candidate to replace Moyes at Real Sociedad, according to Sky Sports. Moyes led Real Sociedad out of the relegation zone to a 12th-place finish last season, his methods failed to have push the club forward this term. Real Sociedad currently sits 16th in the 20-team standings, having won just two of its first 11 games.
