Make a Title for Tumblr

Social media platform Tumblr offers a variety of different customization features -- including the ability to edit your blog's title bar, editing the title itself and choosing whether you want the title visible or hidden on your blog.

Step 1

Click the Account icon on yourDashboard to open a drop-down menu.

Step 2

Click Settings in the Account menu.

Step 3

Click the name of the blog whose title you want to edit under the Blogsheading. A preview of your blog displays in the middle of your screen.

Step 4

Click Edit appearance to activate the title bar editor.

Step 5

Click the gray rectangle under the header image and type out your title. TheShow title option in the pop-up menu is on by default. If you do not want your title visible on your blog, move the slider to the left to turn Show title off. Also use this menu to choose the font style and color of your title.

Step 6

Click Save. Your title bar can be edited and changed at any time using this method.

Warning

• Depending on the type of theme your blog has, your title may not appear in the same spot as the example shown. However, the steps to edit the title bar are the same.
