Adding a photo contest on Facebook, which is a social networking website, requires the assistance of a free or premium third-party Facebook app. Using the third-party Facebook app allows you to conduct the photo contest upon your Facebook fan page, or upon the wall -- also known as a News Feed -- of your personal Facebook account. Premium photo contest Facebook apps require you to pay either a monthly flat fee to use their service, or an adjustable rate based upon how many fans or friends you are attempting to reach with the photo contest.
Type "photo contest" in the search field, which is located next to the "Facebook logo" near the top of your screen. Click on the "See more results for Photo Contest" link at the bottom of your search results.
Click on the "Apps" icon, which is located on the left sidebar. Click on the title link to view more information about the third-party Facebook app. Click on the blue "Go to App" button, which presents you with the option of installing the photo contest Facebook app, or with a link to visit the developer's website.
Click on the blue "Allow" button to install or connect the photo contest Facebook app to your Facebook account. You will be presented with further instructions on how to complete your registration for the app. If you are presented with the option of visiting the developer's website from the previous step, click on the web link presented in the window. Locate and click on the "Facebook login" button or "Facebook connect" button displayed on the developer's website, which launches a pop-up window asking you to connect the app to your Facebook account. Click on the blue "Allow" button to install the Facebook app, then follow the on-screen prompts to complete your registration.
