Add Your Domain to Yahoo

Yahoo! has a strong foothold in the search engine market -- its ranking is second only to Google, according to comScore's 2010 analysis of the search marketplace. The company hunts for new pages on the Internet on its own, making it possible to be found by the search engine without doing a thing, but you can submit your website's domain name directly to Yahoo! through "Yahoo! Site Explorer," a feature that gives Yahoo! searchers a comprehensive view of your website's content. There's also another way to saturate Yahoo! with your web presence: pay for a Yahoo! Directory listing.

Yahoo email address
Log into the Yahoo! Account that you want to associate with your domain name. You may use this same account to submit URLs or sitemaps to Yahoo! in the future.

Choose pages of your website to submit to Yahoo! Site Explorer. Add popular, attractive or interesting pages by first entering siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com into your browser, then copy and paste or type the URL into the "My Sites" field. Click "Add My Site" to submit the page.

Submit a site feed URL to Yahoo! Site Explorer, if you have one. Select "Submit Your Site" from the main menu and then click "Submit Site Feed." Place your domain's site feed or sitemap URL into the single field form and click "Submit Feed."

Add your domain to Yahoo! Directory Listings with the "Yahoo! Directory Submit" feature. Qualified business sites that meet criteria such as fully working links and compatibility with multiple browsers may qualify for a spot in the Yahoo! directory. Log into the Yahoo! email address that you associate with your business, visit ecom.yahoo.com/dir/submit/intro/ and click "Get Started" to complete an application.
