How to Add Quotes to Photos

Adding quotes to your Facebook photos helps provide context for the image. A few words in a caption can express your mood, give insight into an event and provide others with more material to spur on conversations about your photos. You can add a quote during the original upload process or come back and add one to an existing photo. The quotes display beneath the photo and don't interfere with the ability to view any of your uploaded images.

Uploading Multiple Photos
Click the "Photos" option in the sidebar or in the menu bar.

Choose the "Create Album" button. You can also select the "Album" tab to select an existing album and choose "Add Photos."

Select the photos you want to add to the new album and press the "Enter" key.

Type your quote in the "Say Something About This Photo..." text box for each photo.

Click the "Post Photos" button.

Editing Existing Photos
Click the "Photos" option on your Facebook Timeline.

Select the photo you want to edit. You can sort the available photos by Albums by clicking the "Album" tab or choose another available filtering option. You can only add quotes to photos you've uploaded.

Click the "Edit" button and add your quote to the "Add a Description" text box.

Click "Done Editing" to save your changes.
