How to Close Facebook Group

Facebook group administrators have the power to delete Facebook groups at any time. If the group admin leaves the group without designating admin privileges to another member, however, the process becomes complicated. To delete a Facebook group without an administrator, you must leave the group and ask every other member to leave as well. When all the members have left, Facebook automatically deletes the group.

Sign in to your Facebook account and click on "Home."

Click on the group you want to delete on the left sidebar.

Scroll down to the Members section on the right sidebar.

Click on "Leave Group." Click on "OK."

Ask other members of the group to leave the group as well. Once all the members have left, the group is automatically deleted.

Tips & Warnings

If you want to delete the group because it's in violation of Facebook's terms of use, visit the group page and click on "Report Group." Facebook will investigate and delete the group if it's inappropriate.
