Facebook offers the ability to create lists that you can use to organize your Facebook friends. Lists allow you to filter the updates that appear in your Facebook news feed, alter the chat settings for friends in the specified list or even set various privacy settings for groups of friends. To create a list of favorite friends, use the Facebook list options. Facebook allows you to add up to 1,000 friends to your favorites list.
Launch your Web browser and visit Facebook.com. Log in to your Facebook account.
Click the "Account" drop-down menu in the upper right corner of your Facebook profile page. Click the "Edit Friends" option. The friends page appears.
Click "Create a List" at the top of the friends page. The "Create a New List" window appears.
Type "Favorites" into the empty field at the top of the window to name the list. Note that you can name the list any other name you wish.
Scroll through the list of friends in the window and click your favorite friends to add them to the list. A check mark will appear next to each friend you select.
Click "Create List" to create the list.
