Make Facebook Jaws Smiley

Added as a chat emoticon by Facebook in 2008, the shark emoticon is a nod to the 1949 horror-thriller "Jaws." The movie starred Roy Scheider as a police chief put in the perilous position of battling a man-eating great white shark. The shark emoticon features an image of a shark's head emerging out of the water. Although this emoticon is a favorite with Facebook chat users, it does not translate well into a textual emoticon for status or comment use.

Use a left bracket "(" to start your shark emoticon.

Type a caret "^" to symbolize a wave on the ocean: (^

Place another caret "^" next to the first one: (^^

Add one more caret "^" to finish the row of waves: (^^^

Use a right bracket ")" to close in your waves: (^^^)

Press "Enter" on your keyboard. Wait for it. The visual emoticon of Jaws will appear.
