On Facebook, a "public link" allows you to share your Facebook photo albums with anyone online, regardless of whether or not they have a Facebook account. Although a public link can be found at the bottom of each of your photo albums, no one else can see this link but you. This feature can come in very handy, but just keep in mind, the public link overrides your privacy settings. This means that if you mark an album as visible to only you, but you post the public link for the album in a message forum, anyone who clicks on that link will be able to view the album.
