Make Previous Facebook Status Public

Each time you update your status on Facebook, the site adds the update to the Facebook wall on your profile page. Facebook adds status updates and other posts and activity to the top of the wall, so you need to scroll down the page to view older updates. To make your previous Facebook status updates public, you will need to change the privacy settings for your Facebook profile.

Log into your Facebook account, click the "Account" link in the top menu bar, then select "Privacy Settings" from the pull-down menu.

Click "Customize Settings" at the bottom of the "Sharing on Facebook" section on the Choose Your Privacy Settings page.

Click the button with the padlock icon beside "Posts by Me." This allows you to change privacy settings for your status updates.

Select "Everyone" from the pull-down list to make your new, current and previous status updates public. This means anyone can go to your Facebook profile page and view your status updates.

Tips & Warnings

Click the "Preview My Profile" button at the top of the Choose Your Privacy Settings page to see how your profile looks to other users.
Changing the privacy settings for "Posts by Me" also makes your other posts, including photos, publicly available.
