Myspace and Facebook are both social networking websites that allow you to connect with friends and share updates, messages and photos. Unfortunately, you cannot transfer Myspace photo albums directly to your Facebook account. You can, however, save photos one at a time from Myspace and then upload them to Facebook or share a link to your Myspace photo album on your Facebook profile page.
Saving Myspace Photos
You can individually save each Myspace picture and then upload them to Facebook one-by-one. To save a picture, log in to your Myspace account and view your uploaded photo albums. Click on the photo album that contains the photos you want to upload to Facebook, right-click any photo and select "Save Image As." Specify a file name and save location in the dialog box that appears then click "Save" to save the photo. Repeat this for as many photos as you want to upload to Facebook.
Creating Facebook Photo Albums
Once you've saved the photos from Myspace that you want to transfer, you can upload them and create a photo album on Facebook. To do this, log into your Facebook account and click the "Add Photo" link above the top of the "What's on your mind" status update field. Choose the "Create Photo Album" option and navigate to the location on your computer where you saved the Myspace photos. Select the photos and click "Open." You can then name the album, specify an optional location where the photos were taken and specify privacy options for the photo album. Select multiple photos by holding the "Ctrl" key and clicking on each one in the photo upload dialog box.
About Facebook Photo Albums
Facebook allows you to create as many photo albums as you wish, but only allows up to 200 photos per album. The default Facebook photo uploader requires Adobe Flash (automatically installed on most browsers) to work, however Facebook also offers an alternative basic uploader that requires you to select each photo one at a time to upload, if you do not have Adobe Flash on your browser.
Sharing Myspace Photo Albums on Facebook
Instead of downloading Myspace photos and re-uploading them to Facebook, one alternative is to share a link to your Myspace photo album on your Facebook profile page. You can do this by logging into your Myspace account, selecting a photo album then clicking the "Share Album" button. To share the album on Facebook, click the "Facebook" icon in the "Share on other networks" section at the bottom of the pop-up window. A new page opens where you can write something about the photo album. Click "Share" to share it on Facebook. Albums shared on Facebook post a link on your Facebook Wall that allows visitors to click and visit your Myspace photo album on Myspace.
