Browse Groups in Facebook

Facebook groups make it possible to connect a specific group of friends, such as college dorm mates or coworkers. Keep your group closed and only members have access to photos you post there or messages on the wall. Use Facebook groups in a public capacity and meet people with similar interests or hobbies. When you want to join a group that already exists, Facebook search makes it easy to browse available groups based on keyword.

Enter keywords for the type of group you're looking for in the search field, located at the top of any Facebook screen. For example, if you are looking for groups created around soccer teams in New York, enter "Soccer" and "New York" in the search field.

Click the magnifying glass immediately to the right of the search field.

Click the "Groups" tab, located in the left column of the screen. This narrows your search results to include only groups.

Scroll down the page to see all search results. If there are more than 10 results, click on "See More Results" at the bottom of the page to reveal 10 more groups.
