Disconnect Phone From Facebook

SMS text notifications from Facebook make posting status updates and keeping up with your friends' activities on the site easy, but all those beeps from your phone can be annoying after a while. Furthermore, unless you have an unlimited texting plan, they can max out your limits and start racking up overage charges. Fortunately, Facebook offers several options to limit the notifications you receive or to disconnect your mobile connectivity altogether.

Log into your Facebook account on the Web. Click "Account," located in the top-right corner of the page, followed by "Account Settings."

Select the "Mobile" tab on the Account Settings page.

Click "Remove" next to the phone number and carrier listed near the top of the page. Click "Remove Phone" to confirm this action.
