Whether you enjoy playing Facebook games and trying new apps or not, getting a constant stream of app invitations can become a nuisance for anyone. Facebook makes it easy to stop app requests and notifications. As soon as you receive a new invite, you can block future requests right from your notifications list. You can also use the Blocking page in your Facebook settings to stop requests from apps or from specific friends. If an app you use sends requests and notifications, you can stop its requests using the Notifications Settings.
Click the globe-shaped "Notifications" icon at the top of any Facebook page. Hover the cursor on the right side of a game request you recently received and click the "X" that appears.
Click the "Turn Off" button that appears in place of the notification.
Select "Undo" if you accidentally click the wrong notification. Select "Report App for Spam" if you believe the app should be reported.
Click the small "Arrow" that appears in the upper-right corner of any Facebook page. Select "Settings" from the drop-down menu.
Click the "Blocking" link that appears in the left menu. This is where you can block users, pages and nuisance apps.
Block an app from sending invites by typing the app's name in the "Block App" text field. If you have a friend who likes to play games and constantly sends you requests, you can block all invites from that friend by typing his name in the "Block App Invites" text field.
Click the appropriate name when it appears below the text field. You'll no longer see invitations from any friend or app you block. If you change your mind, you can come back to this page at any time to unblock a friend or app.
Select "Settings" from the drop-down menu.
Select "Notifications" from the left menu and then click the "Edit" link in the App Requests and Notifications section.
Click the check box beside any app you no longer want to receive requests from. An empty check box indicates that you won't receive any requests or notifications from that app. This doesn't prevent you from using the app.
