Link Tumblr to Facebook

Your social media experience doesn't have to be splintered by multiple sites. When you connect your Tumblr to your Facebook account, your Tumblr posts automatically appear on Facebook as normal Facebook posts; only your friends see you posted through Tumblr.

Making the Connection
From your Tumblr home page, click the "Cog" icon to pull up the Settings menu. If you have multiple Tumblr blogs, choose the one you're linking to Facebook. Click the "Share on Facebook" button. In the pop-up, log in to Facebook and select "Okay" when Tumblr requests to post on your behalf. Select "Skip" or "Okay" when Tumblr asks to manage your pages. Select "Log Out" under Tumblr's Facebook options to sever the connection.

Keeping Control
After connecting Tumblr to Facebook, you'll see new options where the "Share on Facebook" button was located. "Let people look me up by this Facebook account" enables Tumblr users to find you on Tumblr by searching your Facebook name. "Share likes on your Timeline" posts to Facebook every time you like something on Tumblr. "Share replies and answers" posts your Tumblr replies and answers to Facebook.

One-Way Street
After connecting your accounts, your posts on Tumblr are sent to your Facebook, but the opposite is not true. When you make a new post on Facebook, it does not go to your Tumblr account.
