Privacy concerns, cumbersome settings and a lack of interest are all reasons for deleting a Facebook account. Facebook gives users the option of permanently deleting an account so that it can never be accessed or re-activated again. Photos, friends, posts and other content disappear without the possibility of being seen by anyone. Removing a Facebook account is fairly simple and only requires a 14-day waiting period so that users have some leeway in case they have a change of heart.
