For Internet users with Yahoo! as their homepages, the website's integration with Facebook can be beneficial, as it provides easy access to Facebook's content and social network functionalities within the Yahoo interface. At times, some users may want to sever the link between the two websites. While connecting Facebook and Yahoo! accounts is relatively simple, disconnecting them is a bit more involved. Fortunately, both Yahoo! and Facebook provide ways to separate the two accounts.
Navigate your Web browser to the Yahoo! homepage and click the "Sign in" link near the top of the page.
Enter your username and password, and click the "Sign In" button to return the Yahoo! homepage.
Click the "Edit" button above the Facebook link in the "My Favorites" box.
Click the red "x" next to the Facebook entry to remove Facebook from your Yahoo! homepage.
Navigate your browser to the Facebook website, click the "Account" link in the upper right corner of the page and choose the "Privacy Settings" option.
Click the "Edit your settings" link under the "Apps and Websites" heading near the bottom of the page.
Click the "Yahoo!" entry in the "Apps you use" list.
Click the "Remove app" link at the top of the "Yahoo!" box.
Click the "Remove" button to confirm you want to revoke Yahoo!'s access to your Facebook information and click the "Okay" button.
