The Facebook social networking application provides limited support for directly uploading files to Facebook. For most file types, you must upload media files to an associated website and then publish a link in your Facebook news feed. Facebook does include a Notes application, however, that you can use to upload a text file that you've edited in the Windows Notepad application. You can upload Notepad text to Facebook Notes by simply cutting and pasting the contents of your text file to a new Note.
Run the Notepad application and open the text file that you wish to post to Facebook.
Hold "Ctrl" and press "A" to select the entire text file in Notepad.
Hold "Ctrl" and press "C" to copy the text file to the Windows clipboard.
Open your Web browser and navigate to the Facebook website. Log into the site with your username and password.
Click your name in the upper-left corner of the browser window to open your Facebook profile page.
Click the "Notes" link in the menu on the left side of the browser window.
Click the "Write a Note" link in the center of the screen.
Type a title for your text file in the "Title" field.
Right-click the main body of the Facebook note and click "Paste" in the menu. The text from your file is pasted into the Facebook Note window.
Click "Publish" to upload the text to your Facebook account. The note is published in your news feed and is available via the "Notes" link on your profile page.
