Add Website to Google Analytics

Setting up Google Analytics for the first time is relatively straightforward, since the sign-up process walks you through it step by step. Adding another website to Google Analytics, however, is somewhat more complicated, and the method changes depending on whether you want to add the website as a property attached to the existing account, or set it up within its own row google account.

Select the "Admin" tab, click the drop-down menu in the "Property" section and select "Create New Property."

Fill in your website's name and URL. If your website uses the HTTPS protocol, select "https://" using the drop-down menu next to the Website URL field.

Select an industry category for your website and adjust the time zone setting if necessary, and then click "Get Tracking ID" to save your changes and show the tracking code. Add this code to your website as you normally would.

Select the "Admin" tab, click the drop-down menu in the "Account" section and select "Create New Account." Creating a new account also automatically creates a property and associates it with the account.

Fill in your desired account name, as well as your website's name and URL. If your website uses the HTTPS protocol, select "https://" using the drop-down menu by the Website URL field.

Adjust the other settings, if necessary, and click "Get Tracking ID." When prompted, accept the Google Analytics terms of service. Once you've done this, Google Analytics displays the tracking code. Add this code to your website as you normally would.
