Change Your Toolbar to Google

Google Toolbar is a plug-in for your web browser that offers many features. It has a built-in search box that allows you to search on the Google search engine without going to Google's website. You can start a search from any web page. It also has spell check, a language translator and an automatic fill option for forms. As of February 2010, the Google Toolbar is only available for Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Visit the Google Toolbar's website .

Click on "Install Google Toolbar."

Read through the Terms of Service and click "Agree and Install."

Click "Install Now" on the pop-up window. Firefox requires authorization before installing a toolbar.

Restart your browser. The Google Toolbar should now be at the top of your browser window.

Steps for Internet Explorer
Visit the Google Toolbar's website (see Resources).

Click on "Install Google Toolbar."

Read through the Terms of Service and click "Accept and Download."

Click "Run" on the pop-up. This pop-up asks if you want to save the install file, or download and install it immediately.

Restart your browser.
