Save Google Map As a BMP

Saving a Google Map as a BMP is fairly simple and only takes a few minutes. However, it may be unnecessary. If you're looking to email the map to someone for reference, you can simply click "Send" (located below the Google Map header) followed by the recipients email address. The same applies to printing a Google Map (use the print button instead). Nevertheless, you can save a Google Map as a BMP, if desired.

Access Google Maps and input the address (or approximate location) of the area you want to save as a BMP.

Click the arrow on the left side of the map display to hide the Google side panel. This will expand your view and help create a clean BMP image.

Enter your browser's full-screen viewing mode. Press "F11" to hide the start menu task bar and browser menu (Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer).

Click the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard (usually above the number pad). Open Microsoft Paint.

Click on "Edit" and "Paste," then click "File" and "Save As." Select "BMP" as the file type.
