Remove Googleinstaller.Exe From Computer

Googleinstaller.exe is a program that runs in the background on your computer. It is added when you install Google Chrome, Google's web browser. By uninstalling Chrome, you do not uninstall this pesky little software. The software accesses the Internet and acts as an automatic updater for Google applications on your computer, such as Google Toolbar and Google Earth. Even if you kill it as a process or remove it from the startup configuration, it will find a way to come back. The only way to get rid of it is to remove it completely.

Hold down Control, Alt and Delete to bring up the task manager. Go to the processes tab. Stop Googleinstaller.exe by clicking it then clicking "End process."

Click the Start button, then "Run." Type in "regedit." Choose "HKEY_CURRENT_USERS," then software. Choose Google from the list.

Locate "Update" and click it. Hit the "Delete" key. Choose "Yes" when the prompt asks you to remove the key and all of its subkeys.
