Stop Facebook From Sending Emails to Email Address

If your email inbox is already bulging with unread mail then you might not welcome regular emails from Facebook. The social networking site automatically sends email notifications of various activities on your Facebook account to your registered email address. Third-party Facebook applications and games might also send email notifications. You can stop Facebook from sending email notifications by changing the options in your account settings.

Launch your Web browser, navigate to Facebook and log in to your Facebook account.

Click the "Account" link in the top menu on your Facebook profile page or home page.

Select "Account Settings" from the drop-down menu.

Click the "Notifications" tab on the Account Settings page menu.

Read through the list of Facebook features and applications in the "Email" column. Each ticked item can currently send you email notifications.

Click the check-box beside each Facebook item and third-party game or application to deselect it. This stops the Facebook feature or application from sending you emails.

Click the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page.
