Synchronizing an online Google Calendar with your Apple iPhone is a convenient way to keep track of appointments while you are away from your main computer. You can synchronize the iPhone's standard calendar application with a Google Calendar account, or download the free Google Calendar app to the iPhone. However you access the calendar, the iPhone will display and sound an alarm if you have set up appointment alerts. There's no way to disable the Google alerts on the device, so to stop Google Calendar alarms on the iPhone you'll need to change the settings on your Google Calendar online.
Launch the Web browser on your computer. Sign in to your Google Calendar account.
Click the "Settings" link under "My Calendars" on the left-hand side of the page.
Select the blue "Notifications" link beside the name of the calendar that you access with your iPhone.
Scroll to the "Event Reminders" section toward the top of the page.
Click the "Remove" link beside "By Default, Remind me Via Pop-up" or "By Default, Remind me Via Email." Click the "Save" button. This removes all alerts from your Apple iPhone and other mobile devices.
