Use Google Voice on Website

Google Voice is a call forwarding service that allows you to use a single phone number. Your forwarded calls can be sent to voicemail or your home, mobile and work phones simultaneously. Google Voice accounts are free for both business and personal users. The Google Voice Call Widget enables you to post a "Call Me" button on your website. This will allow your website's visitors to call your Google Voice phone number directly from your website using their computer.

Login to your Google Voice account at google.com/voice using your user name and password.

Click the "Settings" icon in the top right corner of the window.

Select the "Voice Settings" link when the menu drops down from the "Settings" icon.

Select the "Call Widgets" tab at the top of the "Settings" menu.

Click on the "Add a new Call Widget" link.

Type a name for your widget in the "Name" text box.

Select where the call should go by selecting either "Send to voicemail" or "Ring my" to choose your mobile phone, Google Talk or home phone.

Select your "Greeting" or record a new greeting.

Click on the "Save changes" button.

Place your cursor in the "Embed" text box. Press the right mouse button and click on "Select All." Press the right mouse button again and choose "Copy."

Editing Your Website
Open the file you want to insert the Google Voice link into and paste the link into the file where you want the "Call Me" button and link.

Close and save the file. Upload the new file to your website.

Open your browser and visit the website page with the Google Voice Call Widget.

Click on the "Call Me" widget to test the connection.

Listen for your phone to ring or watch for a new voicemail to appear depending on what options you chose when setting up the Call Widget.
