If you have Netgear ReadyNAS, you have access to a feature called Health, a dedicated section of the ReadyNAS FrontView control panel which enables you to test the status of each disk, fan, the overall system temperature and UPS.
Log in to the Netgear ReadyNAS FrontView control panel, and then click "Switch to Advanced Control."
Click "Status" on the main menu along the left of the screen to display the Status submenu.
Click "Health" on the Status submenu to display the Health dialog. Test results for fan speeds, power supply temperature and UPS are displayed next to appropriate headings.
Click the "Smart+" button located next to the disk you want to test. ReadyNAS displays the SMART Information dialog. Test results for elements such as spin up-time, power cycle count, temperature and errors for the disk are displayed next to the appropriate headings.
