Gmail is a free email service from Google based on Google's search engine technology. Gmail users receive messages at addresses with a gmail.com domain suffix. With Gmail, you have some control over the messages that enter your inbox. Although you cannot block incoming messages from a particular Gmail address, you can create a Gmail filter to redirect those messages to your trash folder. You are also not restricted only to Gmail addresses; you can filter incoming messages from any valid email address.
Log in to your Gmail account. Click the "Create a filter" link at the top of the screen, next to the "Search the Web" button.
Type the email address you want to block in the "From" text field and click "Next Step."
Click to check the "Delete it" box and select "Create Filter." Future incoming messages from this email address are automatically deleted and placed in the Trash folder.
