Change Gmail Date Stamp

Mail server issues might cause significant problems with the date stamp in Gmail, in which case you'll have to wait for Google to repair the problem. Another source of problematic email dates is incorrect system clock settings, which you can fix by adjusting your computer's Date and Time feature. If that doesn't work, enter the correct time zone from the Google Calendar account associated with your email address.

Step 1
Open Google Calendar on your computer. In the top right corner, click the Settings gear button and then select Settings.

Step 2
Scroll to the Your current time zone section, and then select your time zone from the drop-down menu. If you can't find the time zone you want, check the box next to Display all time zones.

Step 3
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Save button to store the time zone changes.
