Shuffling email messages between accounts can be a bother, and it often makes the user feel somewhat disorganized. If you have just a message or two on your Microsoft Exchange account that you want sent to your Gmail account, just use the "Forward" option within Exchange. Gmail doesn't have a way to import individual messages. But if you want to import everything from your Exchange account, Gmail has an automated import tool that takes only a few minutes to set up.
Click the gear-shaped icon in the top right corner of your Gmail homepage. Select "Mail Settings."
Click the "Accounts and Import" tab at the top of the Mail Settings panel. Click the "Import Mail and Contacts" button. A popup window will appear.
Type your Microsoft Exchange email address into the text field within the popup window. Click "Continue."
Type your Microsoft Exchange password into the following text field. Gmail will not store this password once the import is complete. Click "Continue." You may be prompted to enter your POP server username and password. Click "Continue."
Check the "Import Mail" box. If you wish to continue importing mail automatically, check the "Import New Mail for Next 30 Days" box as well. You also have the option to import contacts. Click "Start Import." Click "OK." Depending on the volume of email being imported, it may take up to a maximum of 48 hours to see imported messages appear in your Gmail account. It is more common to see messages within a few hours. You do not have to stay logged into your Gmail account for the import to take place.
