Check Missed Calls on Gmail

A Google Voice account provides you with a second phone number. You can choose to forward the calls to your existing home or mobile phone, or you can let Google Voice take messages when someone calls the number. It's a great way to provide a phone number to people without revealing your true telephone number. Once you configure Google Voice to send an email to your Gmail account if you miss a call, it's easy to keep track of every call you get to your Google Voice number.

Log in to Google Voice (link in Resources). Click the gear icon and then click "Settings" to modify the setup options.

Click "Calls" in the list of tab links and then click "Send missed calls to my email." Note the email address you associated with your Google Voice account if you have multiple Gmail addresses.

Launch Gmail and go to your Inbox. Type "Google Voice" in the search box and click the search icon. Review the emails from Google Voice to display information about missed calls from the point after which you enabled the feature.

Tips & Warnings

You can place and receive calls from within Gmail using Google Voice through the Gmail Chat feature.
