Priority Inbox is a Gmail service that automatically categorizes your mail based on the perceived importance of the message. The Gmail app for Android integrates Priority Inbox features include the ability to view important emails and rate messages as important or not important. You can disable all Priority Inbox functionality from the Web-based Gmail interface.
Launch a Web browser on your computer and sign in to your account.
Click the gear cog icon at the top right and select "Mail Settings."
Click the "Inbox" tab.
Click the "Inbox Type" drop-down menu and select "Classic."
Click the radio button beside "No Markers."
Click the radio button beside "Override Filters."
Click "Save Changes."
