Add Multiple eMail Addresses

If you use email applications, there likely will come a time when you need to send an email to multiple people. While you can always send the message multiple times, email programs allow you to enter multiple email addresses for one email. If all of the recipients are in your contacts list, the process is simple, but if they aren't you will have to type in the addresses. Since there are many different email applications, the exact process will vary, but the semicolon is a standard way to separate email addresses.

Create a new mail message in your email program or on the email web page. The process will be a little different depending on which program you are using, but for most email programs you will click a button that says "New" or "Create."

Click the "To" button next to the address field on the top of the email window. If your email program doesn't have a "To" button, you should use the alternate method below. A list of your contacts will appear.

Select the contacts that you want to add. In almost all email programs, you can hold "CTRL" to select multiple contacts at once or "Shift" to select multiple contacts in a row.

Click the "Add" or "To" button, depending on your program, and then press "OK." Multiple contacts will now appear in the "To" field and when you send the message it will go to all of them.
