Gmail offers all the tools you need to add a signature to your emails. In addition to the formatting options for changing colors and fonts, you can include email and website links and even add linked images. To send people to your Facebook or LinkedIn profile, for example, insert a thumbnail image to the website and attach a link to it.
Step 1
Log in to Gmail and click the gear-shaped "Settings" icon in the upper-right corner. Scroll down and click the "Signature" button. Type the information you want included in your signature, like your name, phone number or anything else you want people to see. If desired, click the option to add the signature to replies with quoted text.
Step 2
Change the appearance of the signature using the formatting options above the text field, including the font style, size, color and alignment. To add a hyperlink, highlight the words you want linked and click the "Link" icon.
Step 3
Specify either an email link or a website link. The words you highlighted appear at the top, which you can edit if desired. Enter the website URL or email address in the appropriate field and click "OK."
Note that you only need to specify a link when the text is not a website URL or email address. If you enter a website URL like "www.example.com" or an email address like "name@email.com," Gmail automatically turns it into a link when you click the "Link" icon.
Step 4
Add an image to your signature by placing the cursor where you want the image to appear and then clicking the "Image" button. This opens a new window so you can select the image.
Step 5
Select "My Drive" if the image is on Google Drive, or "Upload" if the image is on your computer.
To use an image that's on a website, click the "Web Address (URL)" option. You'll need to paste the image link into the provided text field. To get this link, open the image's page in a new browser tab and right-click the image. Select "Clip URL" or "Copy Image URL," depending which browser you use. You can then right-click the Gmail text field to paste it.
Step 6
Highlight the image and use the options provided to resize it if needed. To add a link to the image, click the "Link" icon while the image is highlighted and then click the "Change" link.
Step 7
Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the Settings page when your signature is complete. To see how it looks in an email, click "Compose." To verify that the links work, hover the cursor over each one and click the link.
Note that you can customize the signature for each email. To change or remove links, for example, hover the cursor over the link. Changes you make in each email won't affect the saved signature for future messages.
