A default email address can be set at a site, on an email program or on a computer. Usually, they are set up when you sign up for an account or set up your Internet account or computer. You can delete a default email address easily, and exchange it for another email address or get rid of it altogether. This is a process that doesn't take up much time, so you will be able to complete it quickly and easily.
Click on the program, account or email settings or options link.
Scroll through the various email or account options until you find a default email address setting.
Click on the email address and select "Delete," or simply clear the field of the email address.
Replace the email address with another one if you so choose.
Tips
If your program, account or computer does not have any such settings, the default email can still be deleted, but you will need to go through a technician. Contact your ISP, the company in charge of your email or the company in charge of the program to delete the default email address.
