Making animal and heart designs with your keyboard is a fun way to liven up your emails and other correspondence on your computer. Sometimes a cute animal picture will add a touch of levity to an otherwise dull email or one that seems a little stern. Adding a heart shape will add a touch of affection to your correspondence or express love. You can add these types of designs to your permanent signature or just throw them in occasionally when it seems appropriate.
Heart Symbol
Press the “alt” key on your computer and press the number “3” key on the number pad at the right side of your keyboard at the same time. Once you release the two keys, you will have a ? symbol on your screen. This does not work if you use the number keys on the top of your keyboard.
Press the “less than” and “shift” at the same time, to form the \"<\" symbol.
Add a number “3” after it to form a sideways heart symbol, \"<3\".
Cat Symbol
Press your space bar three times, then hold the “shift” key and press the number “6” key on the top line of your keyboard at the same time to make two symbols in a row, such as ^^. This will form the cat ears. You will press the “shift” key to make all the rest of the symbols in the following steps, except the lower case u, the apostrophe and the period.
Press “enter” to go to the next row and add an open parenthesis symbol, a “greater than” symbol, one apostrophe symbol, a period, another apostrophe, a \"less than\" symbol and then a final closed parenthesis symbol.
Press “enter” to go to the next row. Add an open parenthesis, a space, two lower case u’s, a space and a closed parenthesis. You should wind up having a cat design.
