In an effort to protect privacy, Yahoo offers a way to delete your Yahoo! email account if you change email addresses. However, you must delete your entire Yahoo ID, which will remove you from other services they provide. Once you delete your account, there is no method to retrieve it, so be sure you want to permanently remove everything.
Launch your Internet browser and visit Yahoo!'s account termination page.
Type in your username and password into the form and press the "Sign In" button. The termination page will then be displayed.
Review the page to confirm you want to remove your Yahoo! mail account. The terms of the deletion will be displayed telling you that you will no longer be able to access the account and other people may sign up with your user name.
Type your password into the termination page in the form provided and click on the "Terminate This Account" button. Your email will be deleted permanently.
